JUSTICE COMMISSIONER LAUDS SPEAKER, HOA MEMBERS
The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Leo Aggrey has lauded the Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. Frank Adah and other members on the speedy manner the nominees as Commissioners and Special Advisers were screened and cleared that led to their swearing –in by His Excellency, Governor Liyel Imoke.
The Justice Commissioner’s commendation was contained in a letter of appreciation he delivered to the Hon. Speaker while on a thank you visit in the Speaker’s Chambers recently.
Mr. Aggrey was glad on the respect accorded him and his colleagues and expressed his gratitude particularly on the encomiums poured on them concerning their various experiences which made them suitable for recognition and appointment to serve in their exalted offices.
He opined that the conduct of the legislative members was a reflection of the quality of the distinguished men and women in the current legislature which he ventured to say was the “best in a long while, ever so constituted”.
The Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Leo Aggrey posited that “he was assured by the records, personalities and desire of members to serve, that they shall succeed to move Cross River State forward”. Mr. Aggrey prayed God to give the Hon. Speaker and other members the strength and wisdom to accomplish that which they have been elected to achieve.
Responding the Speaker, Hon. Frank Adah thanked the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Leo Etu Aggrey for his visit and kind words; promising a wonderful working relationship between the Legislature and Executive arms of Government, including the Judiciary.
The Speaker, Hon. Frank Adah told the Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Leo Aggrey that he will present the letter of appreciation to the members at the full sitting of the House of Assembly.
